Simply Pure Photography will be re-locating in July 2016. We are still accepting newborn sessions through June 2016. Please don’t hesitate to book with us for a due date between now and June! However, in August we will be moving to Charleston, South Carolina.
WHY? You might ask. Our hearts have been softened by God and have been prepared for this BIG move. We believe we are being called to go and help plant a church in this city. With a unique vision of focusing on building community relationships among neighbors and living by example of loving others the way Christ has commanded us to do.
Mark 12:30-31 says this: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”
We had the opportunity to visit this city in January 2016, with the other people involved in this vision, and we experienced a peace in our hearts (that can not be explained other than from God) about the call for us to go. We are very excited even though we may be experiencing a bit of fear as we take this HUGE step of faith.
Please be praying for us as we embark on this journey. And more importantly, please be praying that God will prepare the hearts of those that we will be reaching in Charleston, SC. Pray for support and provision, and definitely pray for wisdom and blessings!
We believe God uses everyone in unique ways. For us we know that he has prepared us for this journey. This is what it looks like for us to lay down our desire to live the American Dream and choose to live fully for God. “And he said to all, “if anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” Luke 9:23.
A dear friend shared this verse with me, and it is perfect for my heart as we continue down this path. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Our two small children are excited for this journey and I know that these are His children and he blessed us to care for them and to raise them. Even when I have many fears and concerns for them, I am reminded that God only loves them that much more and our Faith is an example for them. Here is a collection of fun photos from our trip in January including a pirate play ground, the beach, and exploring downtown. This is Titus and his new friend he made on this trip. They were instant friends, which is so awesome! << One of my absolute favorite photos!
I recently read this quote in a book I had read, and it has really resonated with me. “When God tells you to be brave, he will make it work. It won’t be perfect. It won’t be easy. But it will be your story and your best story.” (Annie F. Downs, in her book: Lets all be brave. Living life with everything you have)
Sunset on the bay, near the pineapple fountain, with this huge barge coming through. These are things that will become the norm for us! Then of course there is also the SUNRISE over the ocean, instead of what I have known my whole life which is to have the SUNSET over the ocean (West Coast to East Coast).
“Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy.” Psalm 65:8
No matter which end of the Earth I am living on, I will be shouting for JOY because of the Faith I have in God and his redemption on my life through Jesus Christ.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I would love to talk with you more about this opportunity so feel free to leave a comment or send me an email using the contact us page.
Also, please please don’t hesitate to book your newborn session with us through the end of June 2016. I am still taking on clients and would love to have the opportunity to meet your family and your precious baby! Have a very blessed day,
